Bandini Earns Second Conference Player of the Week Honor

LATHAM, N.Y. - Penn State Harrisburg's Olivia Bandini has been named the United East Women's Tennis Player of the Week. 

 

The honor is Bandini's second conference weekly award this season after she earned the same accolade in September. 

 

Bandini racked up four victories across a pair of matches at Messiah and Division II Kutztown last week. Against the Falcons on Tuesday afternoon,, the freshman teamed with Breanna DeSantis to earn an 8-2 win in the top doubles spot before rolling to a 6-0, 6-0 sweep in the No. 1 singles slot. At Kutztown on Thursday, the Dillsburg, Pa. native paired with Sarah Shaub to win the No. 1 doubles matchup 6-0 and followed it up with a 6-1, 6-1 victory in the top singles contest. 

 

The Lions (3-4) return to action when they begin United East play by hosting conference foe Penn State Berks at the Hoverter Tennis Complex on Thursday afternoon, April 13.
