LATHAM, N.Y. - Thanks to her strong effort in a pair of matches last week, Penn State Harrisburg's Breanna DeSantis has been named the United East Women's Tennis Player of the Week.
Against an undefeated Misericordia squad on Friday evening, DeSantis secured a 7-5, 5-4 victory over MU's Emily Brecker in the No. 2 singles matchup. The Texas native followed it up with a hard-fought 7-6 (7-4), 6-1 win over Susquehanna's Julie Bramley in the No. 2 solo contest on Saturday afternoon to finish the week perfect in singles play.
Penn State Harrisburg wrapped up the fall portion of its 2021-22 schedule over the weekend. The Lions will resume their season in March of 2022.
