LATHAM, N.Y. - Thanks to her performance in a pair of matches last week, Penn State Harrisburg's Samantha Bogush has been named the United East Women's Tennis Player of the Week.
Bogush was particularly strong in a victory over Immaculata on Thursday afternoon, teaming with Breanna DeSantos to earn an 8-4 win in the No. 1 doubles contest before quickly securing a 6-3, 6-1 victory in the top singles matchup. The freshman also performed solidly in the No. 1 doubles and No. 1 singles outings in a setback against Gettysburg on Saturday afternoon.
The Lions return to action when they host Misericordia at the Hoverter Tennis Complex on Friday evening, Oct. 8. First serve is set for 3 p.m.
