Nye Tabbed CAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Thanks to her outstanding effort in Penn State Harrisburg's win over Frostburg State this past weekend, Sydney Nye has been named the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Women's Tennis Player of the Week.

Nye led the Lions to their second consecutive CAC victory on Saturday afternoon, April 13. The Lions' top singles player defeated Frostburg State's Shea Przywieczerski 7-5, 1-6, 6-0 after pairing up with teammate Elle Mellott to win her No. 1 doubles outing 8-6 over the Bobcats' top duo of Sammi Turner and Przywieczerski. The pair of wins helped the Blue & White secure a 6-3 overall victory.

The Lions will host their final home match of the spring when they welcome Lancaster Bible to the Hoverter Tennis Complex for a non-conference tilt on Thursday afternoon, April 18.
