giahny correa drives to the basket against Arcadia

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg women's basketball team fell to non-conference opponent Arcadia 71-46 on Monday night, Dec. 4 in the Capital Union Building.

Giahny Correa was the lone player to reach the double-digit scoring mark with a team-high 19 points, including six from the charity stripe. Jenna Montana added nine points and seven steals, while Mikayla Wright tallied eight points and four rebounds.

The Knights (7-0) got out to an early nine point lead in the opening quarter before Penn State Harrisburg (4-6) was fueled by a 3-pointer from Correa and a jump shot from Montana to help the home team tighten things up.

Penn State Harrisburg forced Arcadia into five turnovers in the second quarter, but that wasn't enough to stop the Knights from getting out to a 12-point lead with two minutes before halftime.

The visitors ramped things up to start the second half, holding Penn State Harrisburg to just eight total points in the third quarter en route to stretching the lead to 28 with 3:27 remaining in the contest. Correa had seven points in the final frame, however, the Lions were unable to match Arcadia's hot shooting.
