LATHAM, N.Y. - A pair of Penn State Harrisburg women's basketball players in Kendis Butler and Jayla Galbreath have earned United East All-Conference accolades, as announced by the conference on Wednesday morning.

Thanks to their strong performances throughout the 2022-23 campaign, both Butler and Galbreath were named to the United East All-Conference Second Team.

With her latest all-conference honor, Butler becomes the only player in program history to earn the distinction on three occasions after securing United East All-Conference First-Team recognition following her sophomore and junior campaigns. The NCAA Division III active leader in 3-point field goals currently ranks 19th across all three NCAA divisions with 293 career triples and her 3-point total ranks 26th all-time in Division III history. Earlier this winter, the senior became Penn State Harrisburg's all-time leading scorer (1,265 points) and set the program record for career field goals (379). The York, Pa. native is turning in another memorable season, averaging 9.5 points, a career-high 3.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.6 steals per contest to go along with a career-best 1.1 assist-to-turnover ratio.

Galbreath secured her second straight all-conference accolade after achieving the same feat a year ago. The Shrewsbury, Pa. native is in the midst of another strong campaign that's seen her average 10.0 points, 2.4 assists, 2.2 rebounds, and a career-high 1.5 steals per game to go along with a career-best 1.7 assist-to-turnover ratio as the team's floor general. The senior recently moved into ninth place on the program's all-time scoring list with 745 career points and she continues to hold multiple program records, including career 3-point percentage (40.9) and career free throw percentage (77.5).

In addition to their all-conference recognition, Butler and Galbreath recently became the first players in program history to earn College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors thanks to their combination of athletic and academic success.

Penn State Harrisburg (16-9, 13-3 United East) earned the No. 2 seed in the upcoming United East Women's Basketball Championship Tournament. The Lions will take on No. 3 seed St. Mary's (Md.) in the semifinal round at top-seeded Morrisville on Friday night, Feb. 24.
