FREDERICK, Md. - Penn State Harrisburg's women's basketball team held off a fourth-quarter charge from Hood to secure a 69-62 road victory over the Blazers on Tuesday night, Nov. 22.

Giahny Correa poured in a game-high 19 points, while Jayla Galbreath finished with 13 points and game-high six rebounds. Kendis Butler and Bailey Oehmig also reached the double-digit scoring mark with 10 points apiece.

Leading 52-48 entering the fourth quarter, the Lions (2-3) saw their lead evaporate when Hood (2-3) netted the first five points of the final frame. Penn State Harrisburg got the jolt it needed, however, when Galbreath put the visitors back in front thanks to a 3-ball with 7:38 left to play. She added a pair of free throws on the team's ensuing possession before Correa and Jenna Montana created some breathing room with back-to-back triples that made it 63-55 at the 5:57 mark.

The Blazers used a brief 4-0 spurt to cut the deficit to 66-60 in the final minutes but Correa converted three free throws down the stretch to hold off Hood and seal the narrow win.

Penn State Harrisburg trailed 37-34 at the break but Butler tied things up with a jumper from beyond the arc with 8:18 left in the third quarter. Olivia Richardson converted a layup to give the Lions their first lead of the night before Butler added to it with another 3-ball moments later. Oehmig added two triples of her own late in the third to preserve the advantage heading into the final stanza.
