HOW IT HAPPENED

Penn State Harrisburg (3-2) dropped a mid-week decision to Juniata (3-2) on Tuesday night. Kendis Butler led the way with a team-high 16 points, while Jayla Galbreath added nine of her own. The Lions shot just 21.4 percent from the floor, including 16.7 percent from beyond the arc, in the opening quarter but remained within striking distance after one, trailing 15-9. Early in the second quarter, Hemler converted a layup and Galbreath followed it up with a 3-ball to cut the deficit to 17-14 at the 9:09 mark.

From there, the home team used an 11-2 run to stretch the advantage to 12 with 5:31 left until halftime. The Eagles held a 13-point lead at the break and extended the lead to 16 early in the third quarter before Butler buried a triple to cut the deficit back to 13. Juniata put together another run, this time to the tune of 15-10 to stretch the lead to 54-36 after three.

Butler tallied six points in the fourth quarter, Galbreath added four, and Hemler and Jenna Montana pitched in with three each to keep the Blue & White in it but the Eagles' lead proved too much to overcome in the final 10 minutes.
