Penn State Harrisburg held its 2019 Student-Athlete Award Ceremony on Sunday evening, April 28 at the Mukund S. Kulkarni Theatre in the Student Enrichment Center, awarding year-end accolades, team MVP honors and scholar-athlete award recognition as part of the celebration of the College’s athletic achievement from the 2018-19 season.
FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Thanks to her outstanding efforts on the diamond this season, Penn State Harrisburg softball player Allison Hartman has earned all-conference recognition from the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC).
The Penn State Harrisburg softball team celebrated its senior day, taking on Capital Athletic Conference foe Frostburg State. The Lions took time to celebrate their three graduating seniors Nina Bruno, Carlee Gochenaur, and Allison Hartman.

The Lions got an outstanding effort in the circle from Allison Hartman who pitched both games allowing just six hits on the day. Kaylee DeMatteo recorded four hits, driving in three RBI's.
The Penn State Harrisburg softball team rallied from an early deficit to defeat Juniata College 4-3 in eight innings in game two of the doubleheader. The Lions got an outstanding pitching performance from Mary-Kate Penczkowski who picked up her second win of the season.

Allison Hartman set Penn State Harrisburg single game strikeouts record in the Lions match up with Capital Athletics Conference foe York College. Hartman struck out 15 Spartans, but the Lions would fall 1-0
After falling to Salisbury University in game one, the Penn State Harrisburg softball team rallied and pushed the Seagulls to their limit, falling 5-4 in extra innings. The Lions were led in game two by Nina Bruno who was 4-5 scoring a pair of runs
The Penn State Harrisburg softball team rallied from a seven run deficit before game two of the non conference doubleheader against Wilson College was called for darkness. Nina Bruno tied the game with a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning.
The Penn State Harrisburg softball team swept Gwynedd Mercy winning game one with a walk-off single from Nina Bruno. The Lions would score four runs in the first and fourth innings of game two, defeating the the Griffins 8-3
The Penn State Harrisburg Softball team swept past Lancaster Bible College, taking game one 3-0 and game game two 10-5. Allison Hartman drove in a pair of RBI's and the win from in the circle in the opening game. Kaylee Simon recorded her first career triple and save in game two, helping the Lions complete the sweep.
The Penn State Harrisburg Softball team return to the diamond where they faced Penn State Berks while battling strong wind gusts and cold temperatures. In game one, Harrisburg would use home runs from Delaney Nevius and Nina Bruno to rally from a four run deficit.

The Penn State Harrisburg softball team got its 2019 campaign off to a strong start, picking up an opening day sweep of Cedar Crest College and Lehman College, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The Lions downed the Falcons 9-0 in six innings and defeated the Lightning 11-1 in five innings
Penn State Harrisburg has announced that a number of the school’s athletic programs will again be hosting their annual summer camps, beginning in June. Registration for all nine camps is now open.
