Lepore Earns NEAC Honors

GANSEVOORT, Pa. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced today that Penn State Harrisburg's Vinnie Lepore (Chepachet, R.I. / Ponaganset) has been named the league's Men's Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week for the time period ending Sep. 30.

The junior was stout in two matches this past week, going a combined 4-0 in singles and doubles play.  In the Lions first match against Albright on Monday, Sep. 23, the number three singles' player downed the opposing Lions' number one player 6-0, 6-0 in addition to blanking Albright's number two doubles' team with Zachry Warriner's (Montrose, Pa. / Montrose) help 8-0.

Three days later, Lepore followed it up with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Goucher's number three man in singles action after besting the Gophers' second-ranked duo 8-5, again with the assistance of Warriner.  Lepore remains Penn State Harrisburg's highest-ranked singles' player yet to suffer a defeat.
