Harrisburg, Pa. – The Penn State Harrisburg men's golf team played their best golf of the year at the time when it mattered most. After a long two days of intense competition, the Lions, led by Freshman Tyler Shank (Palmyra, Pa. / Palmyra Area) went home with a 7th straight top two finish in their conference championship Saturday April 20th.
The Penn State Harrisburg Men's golf team are working hard for the school's first ever CAC championship. They are currently tied for second place with York College. Both teams sit nine strokes behind the leader Christopher Newport heading into Saturday's final round.
The Penn State Harrisburg men's golf team participated in the Alvernia Spring Invitational Tuesday April 8th. 14 teams participated in the event setting the stage for a competitive 18 hole tournament.
The Penn State Harrisburg golf team had to settle tied for a sixth place finish at the Roanoke Invitational this past weekend. Thankfully, Tyler Shank gave the Blue and White something to smile about with his third place overall finish.
The Penn State Harrisburg men's golf team took their longest trip of the year to play in the Camp Lejuene Invational in North Carolina. The three day tournament took place Friday through Sunday March 28th-30th. The Lions did well as a team earning a 5th place finish while the story of the night was Tyler Shank’s (Palmyra, Pa. / Palmyra Area) individual tournament win.
