MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Penn State Harrisburg's student-athletes continued their tradition of achieving success in the classroom during the 2019-20 academic year.
As a group, the college's varsity intercollegiate athletic programs combined to achieve a grade point average (GPA) of 3.479 during the most-recent athletic campaign. More than 85 of Penn State Harrisburg's student-athletes currently hold cumulative GPAs of 3.4 or higher and all 16 of the school's intercollegiate athletic programs achieved an overall GPA of 3.2 or better during 2019-20.
Baseball player Bret Williams recently became the first Penn State Harrisburg student-athlete to earn CoSIDA Academic All-America and CoSIDA Academic All-District honors. As the summer progresses, more student-athletes and teams are set to earn academic accolades from the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC), New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) and numerous coaches organizations.
