Women's Tennis Sweeps St. Elizabeth

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg women's tennis team grabbed a 9-0 victory against St. Elizabeth at the Hoverter Tennis Complex on Saturday afternoon, March 26.

 

The Blue & White came away with all three doubles matches, as Sydney Nye and Breanna DeSantis conquered Lauren Griesmeyer and Stacey Lissade 8-1 in the top contest before Sarah Shaub and Annalisa Petrascu defeated Francheska F-Cedano and Keyeia Williams by the same score in the No. 2 matchup. Isabella Pizzelanti and Cassandra Giinder finished things up with an 8-0 victory over Dyanna Vera and Khajayah Little in the No. 3 outing. 

 

Penn State Harrisburg saw more success in singles, with all six Lions going 6-0, 6-0 in their matchups. In the No. 1 contest, Nye went up against Griesmeyer, Desantis won over Vera during the No. 2 outing, Pizzelanti secured a victory in the No. 3 match atop F-Cedano, the No. 4 matchup saw Shaub conquer Lissade, while Petrascu handled Williams in No. 5 singles and Giinder earned a win over Little in the No. 6 contest. 

 

The Lions are set for a non-conference matchup against Messiah on Wednesday afternoon, March 30, at home. The first serve is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
