Penn State Harrisburg men's basketball player Donyae Baylor-Carroll was named an NABC Second-Team All-American and a D3hoops.com Third-Team All-American following an historic 2023-24 campaign. He was the first player in program history to earn all-America honors of any kind.

 

The program's all-time leading scorer (1,973 points), Baylor-Carroll averaged 18.6 points, 5.2 assists, four rebounds, and 3.5 steals per game, garnering first-team all-region recognition from both the NABC and D3hoops.com for his efforts. He was also selected to the NABC – Reese’s Division III College All-Star Game after being tabbed the United East Volt Division Player of the Year, the United East Volt Division Defensive Player of the Year, and an all-conference first-team honoree. 

 

The versatile guard led the nation in steals per game and total steals (105), ranked eighth in the country in total assists (155), and ranked 24th in total points (557). The Harrisburg, Pa. native recorded three double-doubles on the season and was named the United East Championship Tournament MVP after averaging 29.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, 6.7 assists, and 6.3 steals across three playoff victories. He was twice named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week and earned eight United East Volt Division Player of the Week plaudits, including four offensive player of the week honors and four defensive player of the week accolades. One of the most productive players of his era, he completed his career as the NCAA Division III active 3-point leader (352) while ranking second in steals, third in assists (474), fourth in points, and sixth in free throws (417).

 

Thanks to his efforts, Baylor-Carroll helped lead Penn State Harrisburg to its third conference championship, its third NCAA Tournament appearance, and an NCAA Tournament First Round victory over a Hood squad receiving votes in the national rankings.

 


 

     

DALLAS HITE

2021 | Baseball

D3baseball.com All-America Fourth Team

 

Thanks to a breakout 2021 season, Penn State Harrisburg baseball player Dallas Hite was named a D3baseball.com Fourth-Team All-American. He was the third player in program history to earn all-America honors.

 

Hite emerged as a weapon at the plate during a junior campaign that saw him earn first-team all-region recognition from both the ABCA/Rawlings and D3baseball.com. He was also named to the NEAC All-Conference First Team for his efforts. The outfielder slashed .441/.497/.685 with a 1.182 OPS while racking up a team-high 63 hits, including seven long balls, 10 doubles, and a pair of triples. In addition to his 29 RBI and 47 runs scored, the Lilly, Pa. native was a terror on the base paths, with his 21 stolen bases ranking him 36th among Division III players. Hite's play seemingly got stronger as the season wore on and he earned conference player of the week honors in early May.

 

Thanks to his efforts, Hite helped lead Penn State Harrisburg to its second conference championship, its third NCAA Tournament appearance, and an NCAA Tournament victory over No. 24 Texas Lutheran.

 


 

     

 

BRET WILLIAMS

2021 | Baseball

ABCA/Rawlings All-America First Team

D3baseball.com All-America First Team

 

After an incredible 2021 campaign, Penn State Harrisburg baseball player Bret Williams was named an ABCA/Rawlings First-Team All-American and a D3baseball.com First-Team All-American. It was the second season in a row he earned consensus all-America honors.

 

Williams was named the Mid-Atlantic Regional Player of the Year by both the ABCA/Rawlings and D3baseball.com and he earned a spot on the all-region first teams of both organizations. He was also tabbed the NEAC Player of the Year after earning first-team all-conference recognition.

 

His 43 walks were the second-most in the nation, while his 17 homers and 66 RBI were fourth-best among Division III players. The outfielder slashed an outstanding .450/.586/.915 with a stellar 1.501 OPS, with both his slugging and on-base percentages ranking top-five in the country. The Mount Carmel, Pa. native racked up 58 hits, including seven doubles and a triple, 118 total bases, 55 runs, and 16 stolen bases. He was named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week three times and was tabbed the NEAC Player of the Week in mid-April. Thanks to his impressive postseason play, he was named the NEAC Championship Tournament Most Valuable Player (MVP). Williams completed his collegiate career as one of the most successful players in NCAA Division III history, ranking second all-time in total bases (548), tied for fourth all-time in home runs (63), fifth all-time in runs batted in (250), tied for fifth all-time in hits (290), and sixth all-time in runs scored (232).

 

Thanks to his efforts, Williams helped lead Penn State Harrisburg to its second conference championship, its third NCAA Tournament appearance, and an NCAA Tournament victory over No. 24 Texas Lutheran.

 


 

     

 

MIGUEL TORRES

2019 | Baseball

ABCA/Rawlings All-America Second Team

 

Thanks to a tremendous 2019 campaign, Penn State Harrisburg baseball player Miguel Torres was named an ABCA/Rawlings Second-Team All-American. He was just the second player in program history to earn all-America honors of any kind.

 

Torres racked up a number of other postseason accolades, capping an outstanding senior campaign with the first all-America honor of his career after earning ABCA/Rawlings All-Region First-Team recognition and D3baseball.com Second-Team All-Region honors.

 

The infielder ranked third in NCAA Division III in hits (79), eighth in runs (59), 19th in total bases (116) and 32nd in runs batted in (51). The Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic native slashed .385/.432/.572 with an OPS of 1.004 and recorded 21 extra-base hits, including seven home runs, 10 doubles and four triples. He added 19 walks and 15 stolen bases, while racking up 117 assists and 84 put outs from his middle infield positions. He was also named to the CAC All-Conference First Team earlier in the spring.

 

Thanks to his efforts, Torres helped lead Penn State Harrisburg to its second NCAA Division III Championship Tournament appearance in program history and its first-ever NCAA Tournament victory.

 


 

     

 

BRET WILLIAMS

2019 | Baseball

ABCA/Rawlings All-America First Team

D3baseball.com All-America First Team

 

Following an historic 2019 campaign, Penn State Harrisburg baseball player Bret Williams was named an ABCA/Rawlings First-Team All-American and a D3baseball.com First-Team All-American. He was the first player in program history to earn all-America honors of any kind.

 

The Mount Carmel, Pa. native picked up the pair of first-team all-America accolades after he was named the NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Regional Player of the Year and First-Team All-Region by the ABCA and Rawlings. He was also pegged D3baseball.com First-Team All-Region.

 

Williams turned in a career year as a junior in 2019 and won NCAA Division III Statistical Championships in the categories of hits (88), runs (75) and total bases (161). He also ranked second in the country in home runs (18) and runs batted in (70). The outfielder was named the CAC Player of the Year after winning the league's batting title and slashing .431/.514/.789 with an OPS of 1.303. He added 36 extra-base hits, including 17 doubles, 32 walks and seven stolen bases. Williams was named CAC First-Team All-Conference for the second year in a row after picking up D3baseball.com National Team of the Week and CAC Player of the Week honors earlier in the season.

 

Thanks to his efforts, Williams helped lead Penn State Harrisburg to its second NCAA Division III Championship Tournament appearance in program history and its first-ever NCAA Tournament victory.

 


 

     

 

RAY RAY TAYLOR

2019 | Women’s Outdoor Track & Field | Heptathlon

USTFCCCA/NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field All-America

 

Penn State Harrisburg women’s track & field athlete Ray Ray Taylor became the fourth student-athlete in school history to earn all-America honors thanks to her stellar effort in the women's heptathlon across two days of competition at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio in May of 2019.

 

Taylor finished off her sophomore season by taking part in the long jump, javelin throw and 800m run on May 24 after competing in the 100m hurdles, high jump, shot put and 200m dash the day before. Her efforts across the seven events were strong enough to rack up 4,651 total points, clinch her a seventh-place finish in the event and secure her USTFCCCA/NCAA Division III All-America recognition. The Pottstown, Pa. native joined teammates Cameron Yon, Sarah Lehman and Ashley Williams as Penn State Harrisburg student-athletes to earn the illustrious distinction.

 


 

     

 

CAMERON YON

2019 | Men’s Outdoor Track & Field | Discus Throw

USTFCCCA/NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field All-America

 

Penn State Harrisburg men’s track & field athlete Cameron Yon claimed the third USTFCCCA/NCAA Division III All-America honor of his career when he became the first student-athlete in school history to win a national championship. He secured gold in the men’s discus throw at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships held at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio on May 23, 2019.

 

One day after being named the 2019 USTFCCCA Mideast Regional Field Athlete of the Year, Yon entered the competition with the top mark in the nation in the event and backed it up with a throw of 51.66 meters; an effort good enough to secure him the national title and the third all-America honor of his illustrious career.

 

Yon was the first athlete in program history to qualify for an NCAA Championship event as a freshman in 2016. The Patuxent River, Md. native was also the first Penn State Harrisburg athlete to earn all-America honors during his first trip to the national meet. His final achievement topped them all, however, as he clinched the school's first-ever national championship in his last collegiate outing.

 


 

     

 

SARAH LEHMAN

2018 | Women’s Outdoor Track & Field | Triple Jump

USTFCCCA/NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field All-America

 

Penn State Harrisburg women’s track & field athlete Sarah Taylor became the third student-athlete in school history to earn all-America honors thanks to her tremendous effort in the women's triple jump at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships held at the Veteran’s Memorial Field Sports Complex in La Crosse, Wis. on May 26, 2018.

 

Just days after being named the 2018 USTFCCCA Mideast Regional Field Athlete of the Year, Lehman capped off her incredible freshman campaign by posting a top leap of 11.95 meters in the triple jump. Thanks to her effort, the Mechanicsburg, Pa. native secured a fifth-place finish in the event and cemented her status as a USTFCCCA/NCAA Division III All-American. She joined elite company in teammates Cameron Yon and Ashley Williams as track & field athletes to earn the prestigious honor.

 


 

     

 

CAMERON YON

2018 | Men’s Outdoor Track & Field | Discus Throw

USTFCCCA/NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field All-America

 

Penn State Harrisburg men’s track & field athlete Cameron Yon picked up the second USTFCCCA/NCAA Division III All-America honor of his career thanks to his impressive effort in the men’s discus throw at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships held at the Veteran’s Memorial Field Sports Complex in La Crosse, Wis. on May 24, 2018.

 

Yon wrapped up his memorable junior campaign by recording a top toss of 51.35 meters in the discus throw. Thanks to his strong effort, the Patuxent River, Md. native claimed a seventh-place finish in the event and added a second USTFCCCA/NCAA Division III All-America accolade to his resume after previously accomplishing the feat as a freshman in 2016. In doing so, he became the first Penn State Harrisburg student-athlete to earn multiple all-America honors.

 


 

     

 

ASHLEY WILLIAMS

2017-18 | Women’s Indoor Track & Field | 60m Hurdles

USTFCCCA/NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field All-America

 

Penn State Harrisburg women’s track & field athlete Ashley Williams became just the second student-athlete in school history to earn all-America honors thanks to her stellar performance in the women's 60m hurdles at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships held at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Ala. on March 10, 2018.

 

After posting a time of 8.95 seconds in preliminary action to punch her ticket to the finals, Williams ran a time of 9.24 seconds in the 60m hurdles on the final day of the indoor championship event; an effort good enough to secure her a seventh-place finish and close out her junior season with USTFCCCA/NCAA Division III All-America recognition. The Easton, Pa. native joined teammate Cameron Yon as the only student-athletes in school history to come away with all-America accolades.

2016 | Men’s Outdoor Track & Field | Discus Throw

USTFCCCA/NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field All-America

 

Penn State Harrisburg men’s track & field athlete Cameron Yon made history by winning bronze and becoming the first all-American in school history thanks to an outstanding performance in the men’s discus throw at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships held at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa on May 26, 2016.

 

Yon finished off his breakout freshman campaign by posting a top toss of 53.19 meters in the discus throw. Thanks to his memorable effort, the Patuxent River, Md. native finished third in the event and earned USTFCCCA/NCAA Division III All-America honors in the process. Yon’s historic accomplishment came in just the second season of the track & field program’s short history as a varsity sport at Penn State Harrisburg.
