SELINSGROVE, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg's men's and women's track & field teams got one last tune up in before the upcoming New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Championships when they took part in Susquehanna's River Hawk Friday Night Showdown on Feb. 10.

Leah Gray continued her outstanding indoor campaign, winning the 60m while resetting her previous career-best effort thanks to a time of 7.96 seconds - the second-quickest 60m sprint in program history. She also secured a third-place finish out of 26 total competitors in the 200m behind a jaunt of 27.36 seconds.

Makayla Grace Weber also earned a victory in the 60m hurdles behind an effort of 10.16 seconds in the final before finishing 10th in the 200m later in the evening. Tatyana Gibson came home fifth in the 200m thanks to her time of 27.72 seconds, while Nofisat Aina finished seventh in the long jump with a top leap of 4.83 meters after also running the 60m. Abagail Marquardt pulled double duty in the mile and 800m, Layla Germain ran in both the 60m and 200m, and Emily Weber competed in both the shot put and weight throw events.

On the men's side, a number of personal bests were improved upon, including Paul Netland III's effort in the 60m hurdles, Angad Bhullar's best throw in the shot put, and Tony Pelino's top attempt in the pole vault. Netland's time of 8.62 seconds in prelims earned him a share of the runner-up position in the program's all-time record book. Pelino also improved upon the second-best mark in program history in his event, coming home fourth thanks to an effort of 3.81 meters. Bhullar's top toss of 13.22 meters in the shot put was a new PR and stands as the third-best mark in program history.

Elsewhere for the men, Isaac Whitson finished fifth in the long jump with a top leap of 12.43 meters, while Sean Myron secured a ninth-place finish in the shot put thanks to a throw of 12.65 meters. Comlan Greg Acoliste just missed out on a top-10 finish in the weight throw after recording a top toss of 13.23 meters.

With the regular season now behind them, the Lions will turn their attention to preparing for the NJAC Indoor Championships on Monday, Feb. 20.
