Track & Field Splits Action at Penn State and Bucknell

LEWISBURG, Pa. – A number of athletes from Penn State Harrisburg's men's and women's track & field teams were in action across a pair of meets over the weekend.

 

Dominick Hogans was in action at both the Bison Open and Multi hosted by Bucknell on Friday night and the Penn State National Open on Saturday afternoon. The sophomore ran a 22.84 in the 200m dash at University Park one day after running a 22.85 in the event at Bucknell. He also took part in the 400m dash at Penn State, crossing the line with a time of 52.03.

 

Alex White competed at Penn State on Saturday as well. The senior jumper took part in the long jump and posted a top bound of 6.78 meters in the event.

 

The rest of the Lions were in action at Bucknell on Friday and Saturday, with Alexandra Morrison leading the way on the women's side. The freshman was in action in both the 200m dash and 500m run. Her time of 1:28.60 in the latter event was good enough to earn her a top-10 finish.

 

Fellow freshman Abagail Marquardt captured a top-10 finish in the 1,000m run thanks to an effort of 4:00.52. She also competed in the 400m dash, as did teammate Jameraquai May. Jamilyn Nimo represented the Blue & White in the field and took part in both the shot put and weight throw events.

 

Also in action on the men's side were Alex Terody, Michael Vinson and Carlos Rodriguez in the 60m dash, while Terody, Vinson and Mohamed Tall joined Hogans in the 200m dash. Rodriguez also took part in the 60m hurdles and Charles-Antoine Sokohl snagged a top-10 finish in the 1,000m run.

 

Throwers Joseph Rebarchack and Sean Myron got reps in the shot put, while Myron also competed in the weight throw event.

 

The Lions will take next week off from competition before returning to action at the SU Invitational hosted by Susquehanna on Saturday, Feb. 15.
