BOSTON – A pair of Penn State Harrisburg student-athletes in Jalil Clayton and Rae Rae Taylor are set to compete at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center in Boston on March 8-9. The event will be hosted by the University of Massachusetts Boston.

Both were accepted into the national field earlier this week, with Clayton qualifying for the men's 60m hurdles and Taylor qualifying for the women's pentathlon. Clayton will compete on Friday afternoon in preliminary action at 2:15 p.m. Taylor begins the first pentathlon event, the women's 60m hurdles, at 11 a.m. on Friday morning.

Clayton recently won Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) and Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Championships in the men's 60m hurdles. Thanks to his outstanding effort, he was named the CAC Men's Indoor Athlete of the Year last month. Earlier this week, the senior earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region honors. He is also a two-time CAC Track Athlete of the Week.

Taylor won the ECAC Championship in the pentathlon this past weekend after winning CAC Titles in both the long and triple jump events last month. Thanks to her stellar performance, she was named the CAC Women's Indoor Athlete of the Year three weeks ago. Most recently, the sophomore picked up USTFCCCA All-Region recognition for her efforts this season. She also earned CAC Field Athlete of the Week honors in January.
