Lehman Earns Her Third CAC Weekly Award

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Thanks to her stellar performance at the Bucknell Tune Up on Friday night, Penn State Harrisburg's Sarah Lehman has been named the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Women's Field Athlete of the Week.

For Lehman, her most-recent accolade is her third CAC Weekly Honor of the season after also earning the award in back-to-back weeks in December.

The sophomore was absolutely stellar in the triple jump at Bucknell on Feb. 8. In the span of five leaps, the reigning CAC Rookie of the Year reset her own program record four times. Her top effort of 11.60 meters clinched victory by a wide margin, erased her previous best mark of 11.48 meters and vaulted her into eighth place in the nation in the event. The Cumberland Valley grad also just missed out on a top-five finish in the long jump after posting a top bound of 5.28 meters.

With regular season competition now behind them, Lehman and her teammates will turn their attention to championship season, beginning with the CAC Championships at Christopher Newport in Newport News, Va. this weekend. Day one of the championship event is set for Friday, Feb. 16.
