MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Penn State Harrisburg's women's soccer team stayed undefeated in conference play thanks to a 3-0 shutout victory over Morrisville State on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 2.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Kyla Brossoit, Hannah Morrison, and Hollie Holthaus each found the back of the net and the Lions (4-3-4, 3-0-1 United East) kept Morrisville State (5-4-1, 1-2-1 United East) off the board in a key United East victory on Saturday.
Penn State Harrisburg struck first when Katie Kosovac's corner kick cross was finished off from point-blank range by Brossoit in the 22nd minute.
The Lions closed out the first half strong and doubled the advantage when Hannah Morrison took control of a loose ball, created some space, and fired her attempt past MSU goalkeeper Meaghan Miller with 2:24 left before the break.
The lead held strong at two midway through the second half before Hollie Holthaus put an exclamation point on the day's scoring with a strike from straightaway off an assist from Hannah Wheeler in the 62nd minute.

- The shutout was the seventh of the season for Penn State Harrisburg.
- The Lions finished with a 12-7 advantage in total shots and a 7-3 edge in shots on frame.
