How it Happened:

The Lions would strike first in game one, when in the second inning Dominique Emmett blasted a solo homerun to left field. The Eagles would respond and get three runs in the fifth inning to take a 3-1 lead. Harrisburg would respond in the bottom half of the inning. Erelle Sowers doubled to right field, and then Katie Humphrey would follow with a single to right scoring Sowers. The Lions would then tie the game in the sixth inning. After Carlee Gochenaur got hit by a pitch and Allison Hartman single to right field, Emma Lerchen hit a hard ground ball at the short stop, allowing Gochenaur to score.

The Eagles would use a double off the top of the left field fence to retake a two run lead in the top of the seventh inning. The Lions had an answer, which started with Erelle Sowers drawing a walk. Katie Humphrey would again follow with a single, putting runners on first and third. Emily Parmer would then ground out to the pitcher, allowing Sowers to score. After the Eagles walked Emmett, Gochenaur would deliver an RBI single to center field, allowing Humphrey to score and send the game to extras innings.

The International tie break was in effect for the eighth inning, placing the last out from the previous inning on second base to begin the inning. Harrisburg would prevent the Eagles from scoring in the top of the eighth inning and elected to pinch run Quincy English at second base to start the inning. English would advance to third on a passed ball. This set up Kristen Evans who singled past the second baseman delivering the Lions a walk-off win.

Harrisburg would build an early lead in game two, striking in the second inning. Nina Bruno and Evans would single and Kaylee Simon would walk to load the bases. Erelle Sowers would then draw a walk, scoring the game's first run.
