GRANTHAM, Pa. - A day after taking part in the Messiah Multi, Penn State Harrisburg's men's and women's track & field teams were back in action at the Messiah Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

Makayla Grace Weber and Leah Gray led the way on the women's side, with Weber winning the 400m hurdles with an effort of 1:09.79 and qualifying for the 100m hurdles final after posting a 16.84-second effort in prelims. Gray was the highest-finishing Division III sprinter in the 100m and she also finished eighth in the 200m.

For the men, Paul Netland III set a new PR in the 110m hurdles with a mark of 14.91 seconds; good enough to win the event. Mathew Morales ran the third-quickest time in the 100m of anyone in program history (11.01 seconds) and Kadin Sodmont finished just .02 seconds off his time in the finals.

Oluwa Kinti was the runner up in the discus and his top toss of 42.76 meters earned him the third-best mark in the event in program history. Isaac Whitson's top leap of 13.19 meters in the triple jump was also historic, as he set a new PR and improved on the second-best mark in the event in the history of the program.

The Lions will return to action at Gettysburg's Mason-Dixon Invitational beginning on Friday, April 19.
