Men's Track & Field Wraps Up NJAC Outdoor Championships

MAHWAH, N.J. – Penn State Harrisburg's men's track & field wrapped up its weekend of competition at the 2021 New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Outdoor Championships hosted by Ramapo on Sunday afternoon, May 9.

 

In the field, Andrew Bomberger secured a fifth-place finish in the pole vault thanks to a top clear of 3.95m, while Scott Brosius' 12.48m leap in the triple jump was also strong enough to earn him a fifth-place mark. Joseph Rebarchak III captured fifth place in the javelin throw with a top toss of 51.33m and his 11.26m effort in the shot put was good enough to secure 10th place. Matt Mixell added another top-10 finish in the discus thanks to his best throw of 32.39m.

 

On the track, Jackson Yanich had a nice championship debut, earning a pair of top-10 finishes. In the 200m dash, the freshman came home eighth behind an effort of 22.80 seconds, while his time of 11.42 seconds in the 100m dash was good enough to secure 10th place. He also teamed up with Will Tyson, Bomberger, and Brosius to compete in both the 4x100m and 4x400m relays.
