Multis Wrap Up Second Day at NJAC Championships

EWING, N.J. – Penn State Harrisburg's men's and women's track & field multi athletes wrapped up their two days of competition at the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Outdoor Championships hosted by The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) on Thursday night, May 6.

 

On the men's side, Andrew Bomberger earned a fourth-place finish in the decathlon, while teammate Matt Mixell finished right behind him in fifth. Bomberger racked up 3,989 total points, with his top efforts on day two coming in the javelin throw and 1,500m run. Mixell tallied 3,571 total points and was the top performer in the discus throw on Thursday.

 

Kyli Moon-Rumsey was again in action for the women, putting up 2,923 total points in the heptathlon across both days. She was especially impressive in the javelin throw, finishing second in the event among the eight competitors.

 

The Lions get Friday off before beginning the second half of the NJAC Championship event at Ramapo on Saturday morning, May 8.
