CAC Tabs Clayton Track Athlete of the Week

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Thanks to his stellar performance at the 37th Millersville Metrics on Saturday, April 6, Penn State Harrisburg athlete Jalil Clayton has been named the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Men's Track Athlete of the Week.

 

Clayton earned a pair of victories in the hurdle events at Millersville over the weekend. The senior posted new season-best marks of 14.68 seconds in the 110m hurdles before running a time of 54.54 seconds to win the 400m hurdles by nearly a full second. His time in the 110m hurdles currently ranks eighth-fastest in the country, while his 400m hurdles mark is the 15th-quickest effort in the nation. He also comprised the second leg of the program's 4x100m relay team that came away with a top-five finish in the event.

 

The Lions return to action when they travel to Kutztown for the first day of the Mondschein Multi beginning on Thursday, April 11.
