Yon Named CAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Thanks to his outstanding performance over the weekend, Penn State Harrisburg track & field thrower Cameron Yon has been named the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Men's Field Athlete of the Week.

The two-time U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-American opened the 2019 outdoor season with a bang when he won the discus throw in dominant fashion at Susquehanna's Jim Taylor Invitational on Saturday, March 30. The senior set a new PR with a top mark of 56.27 meters; a number good enough to rank him first in the country in the event by nearly four meters. Among NCAA Division III athletes competing at the meet, he also earned top-five finishes in both the shot put and the hammer throw.

Yon and his Blue & White teammates return to action this weekend at the Millersville Metrics event on Saturday, April 6.
