Men's Golf Earns Runner-Up Finish at United East Fall Preview

HUNTINGDON VALLEY, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg's men's golf team earned a runner-up finish out of eight competing programs at the United East Fall Preview hosted by Penn State Abington at Philmont Country Club on Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 26.

 

As a group, the Lions carded a 339 to secure the runner-up spot and finish a dozen strokes behind the overall victors from Penn College. Ian Martin was the team's top finisher, as his 81 was strong enough to earn him a share of fourth place overall out of 43 total competitors. 

 

Isaiah Day shot an 85 to clinch a top-10 finish, while Matthew Redman's 86 was good enough to secure him a share of 13th overall. Henry Blewitt carded an 87 to finish 17th and Gavin Fegley posted an 88 to clam a spot in the top 20. Jacob Lotz rounded out the Penn State Harrisburg contingency in 25th place with a 90. 

 

The Lions will return to action at the Stevenson Invitational at Piney Branch Golf Club in Upperco, Md. on Thursday, Oct. 12.
