Africa Leads the Way at Penn State's Division III Challenge

Josh Africa follows through in invitational at Lebanon Valley

STATE COLLEGE, PA - Penn State Harrisburg's men's golf team competed at the Penn State Division III Challenge in State College over the weekend on April 2 and 3. 

 

The Lions finished in fifth place after combining to shoot a 483 at the Penn State Golf Course. Saturday's action had to be shortened to nine holes due to weather, while the teams got a full day of action in on Sunday afternoon. 

 

Individually, Josh Africa led the way for Penn State Harrisburg, recording an 116 and earning a share of sixth place out of 35 competing golfers. Jonathan Donovan wasn't far behind has he carded an 119 which was good enough to secure a share of 12th place. Matthew Redman finished tied for 18th with an 122 and Ian Martin shot an 126 which earned him a 26th-place finish. Laksmana Ramroop rounded things off for the Lions with an 152. 

 

Penn State Harrisburg returns to action on Thursday, April 20 at the Husky Invitational hosted by Bloomsburg University.
