CRESSON, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg men's golf's Matthew Redman turned in a stellar second-round effort to capture the individual championship at the two-day Mountain Valley Collegiate Classic at the Summit Country Club on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 17.

As a group, the Lions improved one position from yesterday and earned a share of fifth place out of 13 competing teams thanks to a combined two-day effort of +76 (652). Penn State Harrisburg shot identical 326's on each day of the tournament.

After shooting a first-round 75 on Friday, Redman roared to the top of the leaderboard on day two behind a +1 (73). For the weekend, the junior carded a +4 (148) to win the individual trophy by two strokes over Luke Melisko; the runner-up from Mt. Aloysius.

Fresh off recording the first hole in one of his collegiate career on Friday, Josh Africa shot a +8 (80) on Saturday to tally a two-day score of +8 (152) and secure a share of fourth place along with Saint Vincent't Colten McCutcheon and Penn College's Payton Mussina.
