Men's Golf Opens the Season at Etown's Fall Invitational

HERSHEY, Pa. – Penn State Harrisburg's men's golf team opened its 2022 campaign with a solid all-around outing at the Elizabethtown Fall Invitational at Hershey Country Club East on Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 14.

 

The Lions shot a combined +49 (333); good enough to earn a share of sixth place out of 12 competing teams. Josh Africa led the way for Penn State Harrisburg, as his effort of +8 (79) secured him a share of 14th place overall out of nearly 70 golfers.

 

Matthew Redman posted a +12 (83) to clinch a share of 27th place, while Ian Martin finished with a share of 29th place by carding a +13 (84). Jonathan Donovan shot a +16 (87) and secured a share of 39th overall, while Tyler Sullivan rounded out the Penn State Harrisburg contingency by shooting a +21 (92) and finishing tied for 59th.

 

The Lions are back in action this weekend when they take part in the Mountain Valley Collegiate Classic in Altoona, Pa. beginning on Friday morning, Sept. 16.
