Men's Golf Returns to Action at F&M Invitational

LANCASTER, Pa. – After a two-week hiatus, Penn State Harrisburg's men's golf team returned to action a the F&M Invitational hosted by Franklin & Marshall at the Bent Creek Country Club on Monday afternoon, Oct. 18. The Blue & White finished eighth of 15 total teams with a score of 311 (+27).

 

Individually, it was Joshua Africa leading the way for the Lions, carding a 74 (+3) to secure a share of 14th-place out of 74 competing golfers.

 

Andrew Fink and Matthew Redman turned in solid performances as well, breaking 80 with identical 78s (+7) to earn shares of 28th overall. Sean Cudahy finished with an 81 (+10) to clinch a share of 47th, while Josh Swartz rounded out the Penn State Harrisburg fivesome with an 83 (+12) that secured him a share of 55th place.

 

Gettysburg took home the team title with a combined score of 286 (+2), while Moravian's Thomas Lakata clinched the individual championship by carding a 69 (-2) and defeating Alvernia's Joe Polidoro in a playoff.

 

The Lions will wrap up the fall portion of their 2021-22 schedule at the Rutgers-Camden Scarlet Raptor Fall Invitational on Monday afternoon, Oct. 25.
