Harrisburg Places 12th at Ravens Invitational

DOWNINGTOWN, Pa. – The Penn State Harrisburg men's golf team had a strong performance at the Rosemont Ravens Invitational held at the Downingtown Country Club. In the Lions' final tune up before the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Tournament, Harrisburg finished 12th of 18 teams with a two-day score of 653 (+77).

 

The Lions were led by Joshua Loren Africa who had an outstanding tournament. Loren Africa posted the second lowest overall score on day one, shooting a 72 (E) and finished tied for seventh in the tournament. Andrew Fink recorded a two-day total of 165 (+21) to finish in a tie for 60th place. He was followed by Jake Searer whose 168 (+24) was good enough for a tie for 72nd. Luke Ehler finished with a 173 (+29) and Josh Swartz shot a 182 (+38).

 

Gettysburg captured the team title with a score of 584 (+8). The Bullets were led by overall winner Danny Harcourt who shot a two-day total of 136 (-8).

 

The golf team will next take part in the CAC Championships held at the Golden Horseshoe Golf Club in Williamsburg, Va. The three-day tournament starts on April 18th at 11 a.m.
