Golf Opens Spring Season At McDaniel Invitational

Abbottstown, Pa.- The Penn State Harrisburg Golf team opened its spring campaign by taking part in the McDaniel Spring Invitational hosted by McDaniel College at the Bridges Golf Club. The Lions placed 17th of 18 teams, posting a team score of 710 (+134) during the two day tournament.

 

The Lions top finisher was Joshua Loren Africa who posted a two day total of 172 (+28) placing him in a tie for 68th. Following closely behind was Andrew Fink who totaled 173 (+29) which was good enough for 73rd place. Luke Ehler who recorded the Lions lowest score on day one, finished with a score of 176 (+32) which placed him in a tie for 77th. Jake Searer shot a 189 (+45) finishing 87th overall.

 

Rosemont's Michael Lange won the Invitational with a low score of 151 (+7), while host McDaniel picked up the team title shooting a combined score of 619 (+43).

 

Who's Next?

The Lions will next travel to Ledge Rock Golf Club to take part in a tournament hosted by Alvernia University on Tuesday April 2.
