Lions Golf Team Opens Spring Season at McDaniel Spring Invitational

Abbottstown, Pa. – The Penn State Harrisburg golf team opened their spring season this weekend at the McDaniel Spring Invitational.  The Lions placed 14th out of 16 schools participating, finishing day one with a team score of 343, then improving in day two with a 331 score.  The final score was 674.

Keith Miller topped all Lion athletes with a +17 on the weekend, scoring 80 and 81, respectively, and finished with a total of 161, good for 32nd overall.

Tyler Shank finished close behind, shooting a +21, going 83 on day one and 82 on day two.  He tied for 50th overall with a total of 165.

Chanont Premon finished 72 overall, shooting 87, and improving with an 84, totaling 171 and a +27

Matthew Hoare and Miguel Rocero finished in 84th and 85th places, earning totals of 181 and 182

Franklin & Marshall's squad took home the first-place trophy by finishing at +46, good for a team total score of 622.

Penn State Harrisburg's next outing will be on Monday, April 3rd at the Lebanon Country Club.  First tee time is scheduled for 12 noon.
