Men's Hoops Receives Votes In Final D3hoops.com Top 25 Poll

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - For the third time in the last four years, Penn State Harrisburg's men's basketball team ended the season receiving votes in the D3hoops.com Top 25 National Rankings.  

 

The Lions (25-5) received one vote in the final national poll of the 2023-24 campaign after defeating Hood in the first round of the NCAA Division III Tournament and advancing to the round of 32 for the third time in the past four seasons before falling to the eventual Final Four qualifiers from No. 7 Guilford in second-round action. Penn State Harrisburg racked up a program-record 25 victories and captured the program's third United East Conference Championship in impressive fashion.

 

As a team, Penn State Harrisburg ranked sixth in the nation in assists per game (18.5), as well as top-25 in the country in steals per game (10.3), winning percentage (83.3), and assist-to-turnover ratio (1.41). 

 

Multiple players were also recognized for their efforts this season, led an NABC All-America Second-Team honor and D3hoops.com All-America Third-Team accolade for Donyae Baylor-Carroll. He also secured NABC and D3hoops.com All-Region First-Team recognition after being named the United East Volt Division Player and Defensive Player of the Year. Nate Curry joined Baylor-Carroll as first-team all-conference honorees.
