ABINGTON, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg's men's basketball team earned the regular-season split with United East foe Penn State Abington thanks to a 74-58 road victory over the opposing Lions on Wednesday night, Feb. 8.

Chase Robinson led the way with a career-high 24 points, while Nate Curry netted 15 and finished one rebound shy of a double-double. Zegary Scott III was the third player to reach double digits with 13 points.

Malik Holland had the hot hand in the early going and his pair of 3-pointers helped Penn State Harrisburg (12-10, 9-4 United East) jump out to a 15-8 lead at the 14:32 mark. The hometown Lions (16-7, 10-4 United East) responded with an 11-0 to pull ahead but a Lance Douglas 3-ball combined with nine straight points from Robinson allowed the visitors to roar back in front before a Curry jumper stretched the advantage to 41-25 with 3:25 left before halftime.

Penn State Abington cut the deficit to a dozen but an Isaiah Eggleston jump shot and an old-fashioned 3-point play from Robinson pushed the lead to 48-33 at the break.

The home team came out of the locker room hot to start the second half, hitting triples on three straight possessions to pull to within seven with 16:58 left to play. Penn State Harrisburg withstood the barrage, however, and used a 5-0 spurt capped by another Robinson and-1 to regain control. The hometown Lions came back down to earth from beyond the arc and good looks from Curry and Scott solidified the double-digit lead heading into crunch time.

Penn State Harrisburg's defense held Penn State Abington to just six points in the final 12 minutes and Robinson put a bow on the win and his career night by scoring the team's final six points.
