WASHINGTON, D.C. - Penn State Harrisburg's men's basketball team held off a late charge by conference foe Gallaudet in a 69-61 road victory in the team's United East opener on Saturday afternoon, Dec. 3.

Nate Curry recorded his first double-double of the season with a game-high 19 points and 15 rebounds. Isaiah Eggleston added 13 points and five boards off the bench, while Zegary Scott III tallied 10 points to go along with a team-high six assists.

There were eight lead changes to begin the game before the Lions (4-3, 1-0 United East) took control midway through the first half. Facing a 16-14 deficit, Malik Holland buried back-to-back 3-balls to spark a 9-0 run that also included a Chase Robinson triple.

A Scott jumper from beyond the arc pushed the lead to eight at the 7:48 mark, an Eggleston 3-pointer stretched the advantage to a dozen with 1:14 left until halftime, and Curry's buzzer-beating layup off a Scott find made it 40-26 heading into the break.

Penn State Harrisburg grabbed its largest lead of the day when Scott connected with Robinson for a layup that made it 53-36 with 11:09 left to play but the Bison (1-6, 0-1 United East) put together a 10-3 spurt to cut the deficit to single digits with less than seven minutes remaining.

Eggleston put the Lions back up by a dozen with another 3-pointer with 3:59 left before Gallaudet rallied to pull to within eight at the 2:46 mark but Robinson, Curry, and Scott combined for five points in the final minute to seal the win.
