MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Penn State Harrisburg's men's basketball team gave No. 9 Stockton all it could handle in a narrow 72-69 setback at the Capital Union Building on the final day of the Penn State Harrisburg Tip-Off Classic presented by Comfort Inn & Suites Harrisburg Airport – Hershey South on Sunday afternoon, Nov. 13.

Nate Curry led the way with a team-high 17 points, while Zegary Scott III tallied a dozen points and a game-high eight assists. Isaiah Eggleston knocked down four 3-pointers off the bench and Chris Haynes added 11 points and a game-high eight rebounds.

The Lions (1-1) closed out the first half strong and built a 10-point lead heading into the break but the Ospreays (2-0) used an 11-3 run coming out of the locker room to pull to within two with 14:07 left to play.

Stockton took its first lead since the opening minutes when Martin Anugelov connected on a jumper with 12:25 remaining but a Josh Maxwell layup through contact put the home team back in front on the ensuing possession.

The teams traded the lead in the final 10 minutes, with back-to-back 3-pointers from Scott and Eggleston putting the Lions back out in front after each Stockton push. With Penn State Harrisburg trailing by one, Scott converted a driving layup to put his team ahead 69-68 with 1:04 left but DJ Campbell finished off a layup on an inbounds play on the other end 30 seconds later.

The Lions had one last chance to take the lead in the final seconds but Scott's attempt was turned away, forcing Penn State Harrisburg to foul and allowing the nation's ninth-ranked squad to escape the CUB with the slim early-season victory.
