Williams Tabbed CAC Player of the Week

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Thanks to his outstanding performance in the team's win over Elizabethtown on Wednesday night, Penn State Harrisburg's Kahlil Williams has been named the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

The Lions (7-1) had just one contest last week and Williams took full advantage of his 31 minutes of action, posting his first double-double of the season in the team's come-from-behind victory over the Blue Jays on Dec. 5. The senior racked up a game-high 31 points on a stellar 11-of-14 shooting (78.6 percent) to go along with a season-high 10 rebounds. The post player was crucial in helping his squad mount a comeback, scoring 14 points in the first half to cut what had been a double-digit deficit to one at halftime. The Philly native also came up clutch down the stretch thanks to his converting nine free throws on the night, including going 4-for-4 in the final three minutes. Williams also added a pair of assists and two steals in the victory.

Williams and his Penn State Harrisburg teammates return to action when they host Wilson at the Capital Union Building on Sunday afternoon, Dec. 16.
