Penn State Harrisburg Falls to Mary Washington

Fredericksburg, Va.- Saturday December 5th, the Penn State Harrisburg men's basketball team headed out of town to take on Mary Washington. The Lions were coming off of their first conference win against Frostburg State. Harrisburg struggled in the first half but stepped up in the second half by outscoring the Eagles. Mary Washington's first half lead was too much for Harrisburg, the Eagles won 82-61. 

Freshman Gbolahan Alliyu (Philadelphia, Pa. / Central) started it off with Harrisburg's first bucket of the game. The Eagles went on to score eight straight before Kahlil Williams (Philadelphia, Pa. / Central) stepped up to get the Lions back on the board. The Lions struggled with turn overs in both the first and second half. The Eagles led at halftime, 46-23. 

Penn State Harrisburg started the second off quickly with three points from Arick Sodini (Manalapan, N.J. / St. John Vianney) and Jourdon Wilson (Mechanicsburg, Pa. / Cumberland Valley). In the second half, both teams exchanged buckets for most of the half. Harrisburg went on to score 38 points in the second half while the Eagles were limited to 36. Jazmon Harris (Baltimore, Md. / Patterson) led for Harrisburg with 14 points and three rebounds. Close behind was Williams with 13 points and three rebounds. 

Penn State Harrisburg will be back in action on Wednesday December 9th. The men will travel to Salisbury for an important conference game. Game time is scheduled for 7:30 pm.
