Penn State Harrisburg Wins the Battle of the Lions

 Middletown, Pa. - On Middletown Community Day, the Penn State Harrisburg Lions faced the Albright College Lions in battle of the beasts.  Penn State Harrisburg Lions started out strong and took an early lead.  Up 21-8 at the 6 minute mark the Harrisburg Lions kept Albright on their toes.  Albright battled back to keep the score close at half-time with Harrisburg still ahead 25-20.

A quick and powerful push from the start of the second half, Penn State Harrisburg maintained their lead from the start to the finish. With a final score of 59-47 the Harrisburg Lions continued their hot streak to start the season 4-0.  Jazmon Harris (Baltimore, Md./Patterson) lead the team in points with 16.  He was closely followed by Jourdan Wilson (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) with 12 points and Arick Sodini (Manalapan, N.J./St. John Vianney) with 11 points. Harrisburg played well not only offensively but defensively as well.  Gbolahan Alliyu (Philadelphia, Pa./Science Leadership) showed his strength in the paint pulling down 11 rebounds.  This pushed Harrisburg to 39 total rebounds over Albright's 25.

The Harrisburg Lion's will face Cornell's Big Red on Monday, November 23 at 8:30pm and Susquehanna's Crusaders on Sunday, November 29 at 4:00pm both games are on the road. The Lion's will look to continue their 4-0 win streak over Thanksgiving Break.
