MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – For the first time in program history, Penn State Harrisburg baseball is ranked in both national polls. The Lions moved up four spots to No. 19 in the most recent ABCA Coaches Poll, while debuting at No. 22 in the latest D3baseball.com/NCBWA Top 25 Poll.

Winners of 23 of their last 25 and unbeaten in conference play, the Lions (27-7, 12-0 United East) were included in the D3baseball.com/NCBWA Poll for the first-time ever after cracking the ABCA Coaches Poll for the first time this season a week prior. Penn State Harrisburg is 4-4 against nationally-ranked opponents this season, with wins over Arcadia, Christopher Newport (twice), and York (Pa.).

As a unit, the Lions rank top-20 in the nation in a number of statistical categories, including walks (203), hits allowed per nine innings (7.87), ERA (3.56), win-loss percentage (.788), and WHIP (1.33).

Individually, four pitchers in Danny Eden (twice), Josh Berzonski (twice), Kyle Mahady (twice), and Fisher Druck have combined to earn seven United East Volt Division Pitcher of the Week honors, while Brendan Henn (three times) and Carlos Irizarry have combined for four United East Volt Division Player of the Week accolades this spring.

Penn State Harrisburg faces another tough non-conference test when the team travels to Shenandoah on Wednesday afternoon.
