LANCASTER, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg's baseball team launched four home runs and Danny Eden was stellar on the mound in a 13-3 victory over United East foe Lancaster Bible on Friday afternoon, April 12.

Dallas Hite, Carlos Irizarry, Drew Bechtold, and Lucas Floyd each homered, while Eden earned his fourth win of the season after racking up seven strikeouts.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Lions (20-7, 7-0 United East) used a big second inning to race out to a large lead and never look back in the opening contest of a three-game series at Lancaster Bible (15-10-1, 7-5-1 United East).

Floyd drove in the game's first run before Drew Bechtold hit his first home run of the season; a two-run shot to left center that made it 3-0. Hite followed it up with a solo shot and after Drew Sassaman crossed the plate thanks to an LBC error, Irizarry capped off the fireworks with a three-run blast to center field that made it 9-0 through one and a half frames.

Eden made quick work of the Chargers the first time through the lineup, allowing just two baserunners through the first four stanzas. In the top of the fifth, Penn State Harrisburg pushed the lead to double digits when Floyd turned on one and hit a two-run homer over the fence in right field.

The home team used a solo shot to get on the board in the bottom half but the Lions responded with two more runs in the top of the sixth. Lancaster Bible cut the deficit to 10 in the bottom of the sixth but reliever Braden Collazo entered in the seventh and used a pair of strikeouts and a ground ball to end the game early.
