Gettys Named Conference Pitcher of the Week

LATHAM, N.Y. – Thanks to his strong performance on the mound in a victory on Saturday afternoon, Penn State Harrisburg baseball player Zach Gettys has been named the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Pitcher of the Week.

 

Gettys racked up 10 strikeouts and allowed just three hits in 6.0 innings of work during Penn State Harrisburg's 12-2 victory over Penn College in the second contest of a conference twin bill on Saturday, March 27. The lefty did not allow an earned run during his stint, improved his overall ERA to 1.64 on the year, and picked up his first victory of the young season.

 

The Lions return to action when they travel to Penn State Berks for another conference doubleheader on Tuesday, March 30. First pitch of the opener is scheduled for 12 p.m.
