Lions Shut out by Impressive Pitching Performance from Wolverines

Dover, DE – The Penn State Harrisburg Men's baseball team hit their first minor bump in the road on what has been a tremendous season to date.  Harrisburg traveled to face off against the Wesley Wolverines on Thursday April 5th in their first game of a home and away series.  For the first time this season, the Lions were shut out at the plate in the 6-0 Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) loss.

The Lions fell behind early giving up a run in the first inning to the Wolverines.  For the next few innings, it was a pitchers battle as both teams struggled to get on base.  In the bottom of the fourth, Wesley put together the winning inning.  They scored five runs off a double from Dmiterchi that brought in three and then a home run from Seibert that scored two.

Harrisburg tried to fight back, but Wolverine pitcher Alex Marrs was able to keep them at bay.  Marrs allowed just three hits in his first win of the year.  The Lions will not have time to dwell as they hit the road again on Friday April 6th for an important CAC double header at Mary Washington.
