Penn State Harrisburg Tops the Saints 8-3

Middletown, Pa.- Last week the Penn State Harrisburg baseball team dropped a conference win to Marymount (Va.) 10-9. This afternoon, The Lion's hosted the Saints for the second half of their double-header and cruised by the visitors 8-3. Mark Artley grabbed his first win on the mound with 7 strike outs in 6 innings.

Game Highlights:

The visitors scored their two runs in the top of the first thanks to a homerun from Brandon Orbe. Penn State Harrisburg had their biggest inning of the day from the plate in the bottom of the second with four big runs. Scott Angstadt Jr. got things started with a single to left field, sending Zachary Koroneos to home plate. Angstadt scored a run next on an error by the Saints short stop. Alex Cline reached home thanks to a double to left field by teammate Tom Denniston. Justin O'Dell scored their final run of the innings off an error by Marymount's third basemen. 

In the third inning, Koroneous homered followed by a single to left field by Angstadt in the bottom of the fifth. Koroneos scored his second run of the afternoon in the fifth off of a walk to put Harrisburg on top 7-2. The Saints added one more run to their tally in the sixth inning on a fly ball to left field. David Klein and Tom Denniston teamed up in the bottom of the sixth to add one more run to the Lion's side of the scoreboard. Mark Artley grabbed his first win on the mound with 7 strike outs in 6 innings.
