Harrisburg Comes Up Short to the Dutchmen

Middletown, Pa.- After a big win against #11 Salisbury yesterday afternoon, the Penn State Harrisburg baseball team looked to get their second win of the weekend against the visiting Lebanon Valley Dutchmen.  The Lion's struggled offensively, falling 8-3, to the visitors.

The Dutchmen broke a scoreless tie as they brought home the first run of the afternoon off of a fielder's choice. The Lion's added their first run in the bottom of the fifth when Brett Arney was caught stealing second base, but Scott Angstadt Jr. reached home plate to tie the game up 1-1.

Lebanon Valley regained the lead in the top of the seventh, as they brought home two runs off of a pinch-hit sacrifice and an error by the pitcher. The Lion's added their last two runs of the game in the bottom of the eighth. Ethan Kell doubled to right field, advancing David Klein to home. Connor Bowers singled for Harrisburg's final run of the game. Lebanon Valley would go on to add three more runs in the final inning to seal their victory. Penn State Harrisburg also celebrated the careers of seniors Tyler Johnston and Derek Slagle.
