Lion's Bring Home Third Conference Win

Dover, Del.- The Penn State Harrisburg baseball team made a late game comeback to take down Wesley Wednesday afternoon, 4-1, at Bob Reed Field.

The home team's only run of the day came in the bottom of the third off of a long sac fly. Harrisburg was held scoreless until the sixth inning where they took a 2-1 lead. Tom Denniston (Harrisburg, Pa. / Bishop McDevitt) grounded out to short stop, advancing David Klein (Sugarloaf, Pa. / Hazleton Area) home for the Lion's first run of the day. Connor Bowers (Mount Joy, Pa. / Donegal) singled to right field next at bat for the Blue and White. Harrisburg's third run came in the seventh as Klein doubled to left field, allowed Josh Brubaker (Lancaster, Pa. / Lancaster County Christian) to score. Bowers snagged his second RBI of the game in the eighth off of a single to right field.
 
Bobby Patterson (Wall, N.J / Wall) took home the win for Harrisburg after he pitched eight innings, only giving up one run throughout the game. Brendan Riotto (Exton, Pa. / Bishop Shanahan) recorded his first save of the season after finishing out the game for the Lion's.   
 

Harrisburg will host Mary Washington on Saturday March 26th for a conference double header. The Lion's will look to get their fourth conference win of the season against the Eagles. Game times are scheduled for 1 and 3 pm.
