Aromin Earns Second United East Weekly Honor

LATHAM, N.Y. - Thanks to her performance over the weekend, Penn State Harrisburg's Samantha Aromin has been named the United East Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week.

Aromin's outstanding rookie campaign continued on Saturday morning at the Hood College Open, as the freshman captured an eighth-place finish out of 116 total runners thanks to her time of 20:32.0 in the 5K race. Thanks in part to her efforts, the Lions also secured a seventh-place finish as a team. It is the second time this season that the Marretta, Ga. native has earned the conference's weekly recognition.

With the regular season in the books, Aromin and the rest of Penn State Harrisburg will turn their attention to the United East Championship event in two weeks. The race will be held on the campus of Lancaster Bible on Saturday morning, Oct. 30.
