Middletown, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg is pleased to announce the 2015-2016 Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) All-Academic Team. The Lion athletic teams had 89 men and women earn the honor to be on the All-Academic team this year. To make the team, athletes must receive a 3.2 GPA over the course of the entire year.
St. Leonard, Maryland- The 2015 CAC Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Championship meet was hosted by St. Mary’s on Saturday, October 31st in St. Leonard, Maryland. The women ran a 6k while the men ran an 8k. Both the Penn State Harrisburg men’s and women’s cross country teams had several individuals place in the championship race.
The 2015 CAC Women's Cross Country Championship meet will be hosted by St. Mary's this Saturday in St. Leonard, Md. Race time for women's 6k is set for 10:30 a.m. at Jefferson Patterson Park & Museum.
Carlisle, Pa.- This morning the Penn State Harrisburg women’s cross country team competed at the Dickinson Long Short Invitational against some of the top teams in the region. The women only ran the four kilometer race in hopes of training on being aggressive and running fast times in this challenging invitational. The women had some exciting additions to their squad this week in hopes to strengthen their lead pack and add depth to their team.
St. Mary’s- Yesterday morning the Penn State Harrisburg men’s and women’s cross country teams traveled to St. Mary’s College to run in the Second Annual Seahawk Invitational. It was a very warm and muggy morning for the race. The men’s team placed ninth while the women’s team placed eleventh.
York, Pa.- This past weekend the Penn State Harrisburg men’s and women’s cross country teams traveled to York College to run in the Sixth Annual Coach Achtzehn Classic. Both teams had runners place in the top fifty.
Annville, Pa.- On Saturday morning both the men’s and women's cross country teams traveled to Lebanon Valley College to race in the Dutchmen Invitational. The Nittany Lions each had individual runners place in the top sixty. As a team, the Lions placed eighth for the men and ninth for the women.
Two-time defending champion Christopher Newport was chosen as the preseason favorite to once again sit atop the conference this fall, as the Captains received seven first-place votes and totaled 79 points to lead the way in a vote of the CAC women's cross country coaches.
