MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg women's track & field athlete Leah Gray has earned College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District recognition.

Gray joins soccer players Sydney Hemler, Luke Myers, and Sarah Toche-Manley, women's basketball players Kendis Butler and Jayla Galbreath, tennis players Brianna DeSantis, Derwin Merca, Nick Rohn, and Sarah Shaub, baseball player Hunter Merritt, and softball players Maddy Lehigh and Lauren Hess as Penn State Harrisburg student-athletes to earn CSC (formerly CoSIDA) accolades during the 2022-23 campaign.

The 2023 CSC Academic All-District Track & Field and Cross Country Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the track and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.

Gray recently earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Mid-Atlantic Outdoor All-Region honors in the 100m to cap a breakout junior season that saw her shatter the program's previous record in the event, with her top effort of 12.28 seconds standing as the quickest time in school history. The Windsor, Conn. native qualified for the 100m final at the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Outdoor Championships and turned in the second-fastest time in program history in the 200m (25.68 seconds) this spring.

During the indoor season, Gray was equally as impressive. She finished one spot shy of securing a podium spot and all-conference honors when she finished fourth in the 60m at the NJAC Indoor Championships in February. She matched the fastest time in program history in the event (7.94 seconds) and ran the program's third-quickest 200m time with a mark of 26.93 seconds this winter.
